This award-winning building is an 18,500 square foot, two-storey pre-engineered structure, located on Stanley Ave., Niagara Falls. It received the 2015 Niagara Community Design Award in Urban Design and Architecture, as well as the American Buildings Company’s Best Industrial Building Award. The architectural design and material choices were inspired by the site’s former industrial roots. Using metallic color siding, aluminum composite panels, curtain wall glazing, stone, and exposed structural components with brick veneer in the interior, NIACON Ltd. built both an aesthetically pleasing building that is also functional, drawing local business together to a previously barren area. As part of this project, NIACON was also required to build 40,000 square feet of self-storage units behind the main building. Both projects were constructed within the client’s tight construction budget and limited time frame.
